In other news, Brookelyn is an accomplished filmmaker who earned a Rasmuson Foundation grant in 2010. Her
documentary "The Mount Marathon Experience" about Alaska's favorite mountain race and the people who run it aired on
AlaskaOne TV in July 2010.

Her YouTube channel is filled with snippets of life in Alaska and Brookelyn's quirky sense of humor. Clips include wildlife
encounters, Bigfoot sightings and a music video parody which includes her rooster Ray. Check it out at

Brookelyn pens a bi-monthly column for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner called "Girl in the Woods". Her writing has
appeared in numerous newspapers and in Backpacker and Canoe & Kayak magazines.
